tardy again

90's Redux shopping mission: ACCOMPLISHED

I successfully nabbed:
  • Pearl Jam: VS
  • Pearl Jam: Vitalogy
  • Soundgarden: Superunknown
  • Live: Throwing Copper
  • Temple of the Dog
  • RHCP: Blood Sugar Sex Magik
$50 for 6 badass CD's? I love Sonic Boom. I'm gonna miss being able to walk there :(

I'm probably one of the only people around that still buys CD's. Most people have gone the way of the digital download but I just can't wrap my head around it. I grew up on cassettes, CD's and even Vinyl, and the first thing I couldn't wait to do when I ripped open the packaging was to take out the inserts and look at the artwork. I love having the product in my hand. I will buy CD's until they become extinct.

Last night I went over to Raymi and Fil's place to wish Raymi the happiest of birthdays. Hooked her up with some sweet tanning goodies and some much-needed estrogen (the place was just a sausage fest until I arrived).

We played Truth or Dare Jenga (this does exist) which had some pretty interesting outcomes I would really like to know who invented some of the questions they printed on those blocks. For example, at one point I pulled one out which read "Pretend you're riding." Pardonemoi!? Riding WHAT exactly? Apparently this game doubles as some sort of twisted foreplay... weird. Luckily I had a sweet "riding" skill up my sleeve (get your minds out of the gutter). See video of it here on Raymi's blog.

We then played Asshole, which I LOVE... but somehow out of like 5 rounds I wound up the Asshole EVERY TIME!

There will be a rematch... look out.

At home, drawing pictures of mountain tops

The following screenshot fully describes the current state of mind of myself and my dearest Jessica:

The "real" us:
We have fallen head-first into a pile of NINETIES. The symptoms?
  • Watching Pearl Jam's MTV Unplugged circa '92 TWICE in one night and giggling like school girls over Eddie Vedder's hotness.
  • An intense desire to wear plaid
  • Missing our old combat boots with a vengeance
  • YouTubing old music videos and sighing in unison at the memories they bring
  • Trying to find an attractive way to wear overalls again (this is still very questionable)
We are heading to Sonic Boom (every music collectors' haven) this evening to shop for our long-lost 90's rock loves.

The shopping list at present:

Beyond excited. I've got my chucks laced up and my plaid button up. I'm ready to shop!
Any suggestions to add to our shopping list?
